Stop Hiding Behind the Camera - A Message for Mothers

What won't mothers do for their little one?

All mothers want photographs of their children. That's no surprise, right? But how many mothers take the time to have professional portraits made of themselves? Not many. Stop hiding behind the camera. No more excuses. I've heard all of them: I need to lose weight, I don't have anything to wear, I'm not photogenic, I don't have time. The list goes on and on and on. Don't worry about any of that. Make the time and let me take care of the rest. I will make you look and feel amazing.

I am not a mother. I hope to be one day, but for the time being, I can not relate to you or your life as a parent. I choose to photograph newborns and families because nothing in life is more important than the people who always have your back. I may not be a mom yet, but I am a daughter. If you were as blessed as I have been to have a loving mother, then you know that no one else in your entire life will ever be as big a fan. My mom was recently diagnosed with a terminal illness and from the perspective of her child, I can tell you that there are two things that matter right now. The first is to enjoy ever minute with her that I can. The second is to make sure she exists in photographs. One day it will be all my sister and I have left of her. That's a heavy thing to say. But it's why I do what I do.

I'm begging you. Stop worrying about your reasons not to be photographed. Your children think you are perfect right now. They love you right now. And they will cherish those photographs for the rest of their lives.
